Do a Good Turn Daily
Neighborhood Snow Clearing - January 31, 2009
Although we did not have people sign in for this "do a good turn - snow removal day", we had at least 12 scouts, 5 dads and 2 parents of former scouts come out to help. Many worked from 8 am until 11 am and the others did whatever they could. Approximately 50 man hours were utilized. We received numerous verbal thanks from pedestrians and merchants including Hoyne Savings and the Chicago Fire Department (across from Wilson Park). We even received a donation! Three boxes of candy canes from "a man in a van" who stopped while driving on Wilson Avenue in Russ' neighborhood!!
